Plan a useful test of AI assisted connected TV ads
Compare distinct connected TV creative concepts with a controlled measurement plan instead of assuming faster AI production will improve campaign results.
Faster production changes how many connected TV concepts a team can explore. It does not establish that those concepts will improve business outcomes. Design the learning question before commissioning a large batch of AI-assisted assets.
Choose a meaningful contrast
Compare different audience tensions or explanations of the offer, not only different backgrounds. Keep required claims and product facts consistent. Adobe’s release notes provide context for evolving creative-production capabilities; confirm which formats and features are available in the account. [1]
Match the asset to the viewing environment
Check whether the proposition is understandable from a distance and whether the message still works when attention is divided. Review pacing, audio, subtitles and the final call to action. Do not transfer a mobile social video unchanged simply because its dimensions can be adjusted.
Plan the comparison
Specify eligible audiences, placements, period and outcome measures with the media team. Where the platform supports an appropriate experiment, use it to reduce allocation bias. Otherwise describe the comparison as observational and document differences in delivery. Avoid crediting creative for a result driven by different audiences.
Read the results cautiously
Consider reach, frequency, completion and downstream response together. A more watchable ad may not communicate the offer better. Report uncertainty and the limits of cross-device measurement. Retain the concept-level learning so the next production cycle improves the message, rather than merely generating another set of inexpensive videos.
