Marketing Operations Practical insights
Add AI checks to the campaign launch review
Integrate checks for AI claims, links, audiences and tracking into the existing campaign launch process, with clear blockers and accountable approval.
An AI campaign preflight should strengthen the team’s existing launch decision. Creating a separate checklist that nobody owns can add administration while leaving important gaps. Start with the current go-live review and add the checks the new workflow actually needs.
Identify what AI can change
List the generated or selected elements: copy, imagery, destination links, audience criteria and tracking values. Match each to an existing review owner. Adobe’s GenStudio concepts provide context for campaign content production, while launch responsibility remains with the organization. [1]
Define evidence for each check
A claim needs an approved supporting fact; a link needs a working intended destination; an audience needs verified eligibility and exclusions. Use technical validation for fields that can be checked deterministically. Reserve human attention for meaning, suitability and unresolved cases.
Test the final assembled campaign
For an illustrative bilingual launch, inspect the actual scheduled ad and landing page rather than only the source draft. Check that the Dutch version reaches the Dutch form, the offer conditions match and the relevant measurement event can be observed. Generated components can be individually correct and still be assembled incorrectly.
Make the release decision explicit
Separate launch blockers from improvements that can wait. Record the campaign version, reviewer, unresolved exceptions and approval time. Define what changes invalidate the approval. After launch, check the first live delivery for differences introduced by the platform or deployment. A preflight is useful when it provides evidence for a clear go-live decision and a reliable starting point for later investigation.
