Adapt retail media creative from verified product facts
Scale retail media creative across retailers with a shared product record, format-specific adaptations and checks for variant accuracy and live offer details.
Retail media production becomes difficult when every retailer needs a different asset and every product variant has slightly different facts. Adobe’s June 2026 commerce-media announcement describes generating creative from product listings and related context. [1] The underlying planning task is to separate reusable product truth from retailer-specific presentation.
Build one product fact record
For an illustrative kitchen-storage range, record dimensions, materials, included pieces, care instructions and approved claims for every variant. Attach the source and revision date. Separate facts shared across the family from properties of individual products. A lid included with one size must not appear in every generated bundle. Resolve missing information before requesting creative.
Add a retailer adaptation layer
Record each destination’s required image dimensions, copy fields, product identifiers and offer restrictions from its current specifications. Generate only the permitted differences, such as crop, layout or emphasis. Maintain the connection between output and exact product variant. Check access to any announced platform capability before designing the production schedule around it.
Approve product fidelity separately
A visually attractive asset can still show the wrong handle, extra container or impossible capacity. Compare generated images with approved packshots and specifications. Keep product geometry and included items fixed while changing the surrounding scene where appropriate. Ask a product owner to approve factual fidelity and a creative reviewer to assess composition; these are related but different decisions.
Track the live version
Store retailer, product ID, creative version and activation date together. When a price or pack configuration changes, identify the affected placements rather than recreating the entire library. Compare production effort and correction rates before judging media performance. Faster output is useful only when the shopper receives the right expectation and the team can reliably update the assets already in circulation. Begin with one product family to test that maintenance process.
