Use AI to check ad and landing page message match
Audit the match between AI-generated ads and landing pages, checking promises, conditions and mobile presentation before campaign traffic reaches the offer.
An advertisement and its destination form one promise. When AI generates many variations, that promise can drift: a conditional offer becomes universal, a feature moves to the wrong plan or an old price survives. Adobe documents collaborative review of generated marketing content. [1] A message-match audit adds a focused check across the click itself.
Capture the exact pair
Collect the active ad version and the destination as a visitor sees it, including language, device and any selected product variant. Do not compare against an outdated copy document. For an illustrative business software offer, record whether the advertised reporting feature belongs to the entry plan or requires an upgrade. Capture the page date so changes can be traced later.
Compare claims individually
Ask AI to extract each promise and identify the passage on the destination that supports it. Useful fields are claim, supporting text, condition and unresolved mismatch. A simple label such as supported, contradicted or unclear helps reviewers prioritize work. Require evidence locations; an overall similarity score can hide a commercially important difference behind generally similar language.
Inspect the visible journey
Check whether the supporting information is noticeable before the customer commits. A condition buried far below the main call to action may not resolve the expectation created by the ad. Review mobile cropping, button labels, stock status and the next screen. A matching headline is insufficient if the checkout or lead form introduces a different offer.
Fix the authoritative source
Decide whether the error sits in the ad, feed, product record or page, and assign the correction to that owner. Regenerate affected variants only after the approved facts are updated. Preserve a record of the mismatch and retest the repaired path. Repeat the audit when prices, plans or automatic customization settings change. This creates a manageable control around a specific failure: attracting customers with a promise the destination does not fulfil.
