Data retention & deletion

Account and workspace records

Account information and saved work remain while needed for the requested account service, until you delete relevant items or request account erasure, subject to justified legal or security retention. There is no advertised automatic inactive-account expiry. We assess necessity when handling closure and privacy requests; indefinite retention without a purpose is not the standard.

Deleting a workspace snapshot does not remove a separate native tool dataset. Archiving a project keeps its record. Export relevant work before deletion; contact us for a complete inventory or erasure request. An email request does not require accepting marketing cookies.

Research and measurement

Benchmark research-interest records are retained for up to 12 months from signup, or removed earlier following withdrawal unless another lawful reason requires limited retention. The installed cleanup task runs daily when WordPress scheduled processing executes. Assessment answers are not included in that signup record.

Custom aggregate website event counts have a 30-day retention period. Derived internal reports may retain aggregate findings without direct identifiers. Google, Jetpack and hosting records have separate product/configuration-dependent retention; we do not describe all analytics as subject to the custom 30-day period.

Messages, consent and disputes

We retain enquiries while needed to resolve them and for a proportionate follow-up or legal-claims period where justified. Newsletter details remain while subscribed; minimal opt-out and consent evidence may be kept to demonstrate and respect your choice. Applicable statutory records and evidence needed for a dispute may have a separate legal retention basis. These criteria do not authorise unrelated marketing use.

Browser storage, backups and requests

Assistant session history can be cleared in the chat menu. Persistent interface settings remain until removed or replaced in your browser. Backups are governed by the hosting service’s rotation and access controls; deletion from a live database is not a promise of immediate removal from every backup. Restored data must be reassessed against recorded deletion requests.
