How this calculator works

This is the WordPress edition of the Markaigen calculator, with name, keyword and abbreviation search. It implements the 320 starter formulas in the supplied Markaigen KPI catalogue, organized into 64 methods. It is not a claim to cover every marketing metric worldwide.

What is calculated

Ordinary ratios use the supplied values. Statistical and series-based metrics ask for the required lists or timestamp pairs. Estimation formulas calculate your assumptions; they do not train a model or retrieve data.

What a result does not prove

Calculations do not establish causality, verify source data, certify compliance or supply a universal industry benchmark. Guidance is rule-based and drawn from the original catalogue. There are no AI-model calls or live account connections.

Explicit calculation conventions

Timestamp pairs use elapsed time, including nights and weekends. Percentiles use linear interpolation at (n − 1)p. Whole required visits are rounded upward. Other outputs normally display up to two decimals; small nonzero values retain additional significant digits. Calculations retain unrounded values. Input fractions use 0.30 for 30%; percentage-value fields use 30 for 30%. Series use decimal points.

Scenarios and projections

A what-if calculation changes one declared input and holds the others constant. A trend projection fits a straight line to at least three supplied, equally spaced historical values. It has no seasonal model, backtest or prediction interval. Outputs outside a metric's natural range are flagged, not silently clipped.

Data and deployment

This plugin performs search and calculations in your browser and does not submit your queries or figures to a server. Save and restore use files you explicitly choose. The plugin adds no analytics, external fonts or persistent browser storage. Your website theme, analytics and other plugins may have their own data access and collection. Review those separately. This plugin does not change your page indexing settings. Independent methodology, accessibility, security and integration review remains important.

Catalogue source notes

Worked example: paid-search CTR and CPC

Suppose a fictional campaign records 20 clicks from 1,000 impressions and costs €100 during the same period. CTR = clicks ÷ impressions × 100 = 2%. Average CPC = advertising spend ÷ clicks = €5. These are arithmetic results, not evidence of profitability or additional sales.

  1. Search for CTR and select Paid-search CTR. Enter 20 clicks and 1000 impressions.
  2. Add Average cost per click within the same method, enter 100 for advertising spend, then calculate.
  3. Check the calculation notes before comparing periods. Keep definitions, attribution windows and currency consistent.

What the results can tell you

A KPI summarizes the inputs you provide. It does not verify those inputs, establish causality or supply an industry benchmark. Optional targets are your own targets. What-if scenarios hold other inputs constant; trend projections extrapolate at least three comparable historical values and have no validated prediction interval.
