Design a reviewed marketing workflow from Slack
Use Salesforce’s MCP campaign-management direction to design a clear request, evidence check and approval path from a team conversation to a platform action.
Moving campaign requests into Slack can reduce switching between tools, but it also moves consequential actions closer to informal conversation. Salesforce describes campaign-management capabilities exposed through MCP for interfaces such as Slack. [1] The workflow still needs explicit scope and accountable approval.
Turn the message into a bounded request
Specify the campaign, audience, intended change and desired timing. A message such as improve this campaign leaves too much room for interpretation. The agent should restate the proposed operation and ask for missing information that materially affects the result.
Show the evidence before the change
Retrieve the relevant campaign state and explain how the requested action would alter it. For an audience update, show the selection criteria and expected scope without exposing unnecessary personal records in a channel. Confirm that the requester has the appropriate authority.
Separate preparation from activation
Let the agent prepare a draft or change set, then present it for review. The approval should refer to the concrete changes, not a vague permission to optimize. Record the approving person and resulting platform state. A failed response should trigger verification before any retry.
Evaluate the collaboration cost
Measure whether the team completes the task with fewer handoffs while retaining understandable records. Check access and availability in the actual Salesforce environment; the announcement also distinguishes other agents that were in pilot. [1] Conversational access is useful when it makes work clearer, not when it hides the operational consequences inside a chat thread.
