Turn a good prompt into a reusable marketing skill
Package a recurring marketing task with inputs, examples, completion criteria and review rules so a reusable agent skill does more than repeat a prompt.
A reusable agent skill describes how to complete a task under defined conditions. A prompt alone may capture the instruction but omit the evidence, tools and checks needed for dependable work. Start from a process that already produces an acceptable result.
Specify the task contract
State the required inputs, permitted sources and expected deliverable. For a campaign brief, define which product facts must be supplied and which assumptions must remain visible. Explain what the agent should do when essential information is missing rather than encouraging it to improvise.
Include examples that teach boundaries
Provide an accepted output and a rejected example with reasons. Show how the workflow handles conflicting dates, unsupported claims or an unsuitable audience. Examples should illustrate judgment, not merely formatting.
Define completion and review
List the checks that establish a usable result: evidence attached, links verified, offer consistent and unresolved questions surfaced. Identify which actions require a person’s approval. Version the instructions so changes can be tested and rolled back.
Evaluate reuse on varied cases
Run the skill against several realistic briefs, including incomplete ones. Measure accepted output and correction effort. Update the skill when repeated failures reveal a missing rule or unclear input. A trusted skills library grows from tested tasks with owners, not from saving every successful one-off prompt as a permanent process.
