Brief creators when AI expands campaign production
Create a creator brief for AI-assisted campaigns, preserving authentic experience while defining editing permissions, deliverables and approval rights.
AI can multiply campaign versions, but it cannot supply the creator’s lived experience. Google’s 2026 marketing announcements include AI-supported creator discovery and collaboration. [1] As production expands, the brief should make clear which contribution comes from the person and which later transformations the brand plans to make.
Commission an experience, not a scripted endorsement
For an illustrative cycling-accessory campaign, ask the creator to demonstrate an actual fitting process and describe what they genuinely observed. Provide accurate product information and required disclosures for specialist review, while leaving room for their own explanation. Do not ask AI to invent a personal story and then present it as the creator’s experience. Agree how limitations or an unsuitable fit will be handled.
Describe intended adaptations
List the proposed crops, subtitles, shortened edits and language versions. Treat synthetic voice, likeness changes and new statements as distinct uses that require explicit agreement and appropriate rights review. Permission to publish one filmed clip should not be silently interpreted as permission for unlimited synthetic variations. Specify who can access original footage and how long it is retained.
Separate factual and creative approval
The creator should be able to check whether an adaptation still represents what they said and experienced. The brand should verify product facts, offer conditions and destination consistency. Review captions and short cuts carefully: removing a caveat can turn a balanced observation into a universal promise. Preserve the source recording and an edit history so disputed changes can be traced.
Learn from the actual audience
Evaluate audience response and business outcomes alongside production efficiency. AI-generated forecasts of audience reaction are hypotheses, not evidence that real viewers will respond similarly. Share useful findings with the creator and use them to improve the next brief. The strongest production system preserves the reason the collaboration exists: a person who can contribute a recognisable perspective, with a clear agreement about how that perspective is reused.
